Hi, thanks for reading / help :).
I have an application that was created using VB6 using MS Access 2003 with DAO 3.6.
The Access database upgrade to 2010 is complete, and I am using the ACE OFFICE 14.0 DAO Library MSACC.OLB object. I have everything that works in my dev environment.
My question is, what files do I need to place in the installer so that the connection is made on a computer on which Office 2007/2010 is not installed?
I used AccessDatabaseEngine.exe, which is located here: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=13255 which works, and my application works and functions fine, but installing this exe during installation does not is my ideal process.
I would like to just pull out the files necessary for the connection to work, and drop them in place, and then register them (provided it is so simple) during the installation of my application.
I searched google / forums for several hours, I even registered all the files used by exe and tried to put them one by one and register manually, but my application does not work yet.
any help is appreciated
