Detect setting "left mode"

I look through these documents: TelephonyManager , Preference and others, but I can not find anything useful related to the layout of the left hand.

As far as I know, Android 2.3 had this setting. Now I'm not sure if it was obsolete or not. Is there a way to determine if the "left hand" mode is set?

Left mode may be similar to Force RTL Layout Formation in Developer Options.

The API has never had a standard Android setting for left-handed mode. You may have seen the changes made by the manufacturer on Android, but I do not know any of the latest Android devices that have a similar function.

Some Android app developers may add the option of switching to the "left hand" mode, which will change the interface to better format for users who are holding phones and devices in their hands. I am an active Lefty rights lawyer in the application world and call-out developers who could easily better place left-handed people. As for the handicap / accessibility settings, for Android there are no current settings for this. The "Developer Options" actually has an option to host RTL, you can enable it through these instructions , and applications such as Chrome and Google Maps use it. I would have thought that I need to do some more research to check how this looks like a developer option, not an accessibility option. I guess this is like getting the device locale and setting up. I'm not sure if you could find developer options in resources. (Noting the full disclosure, the last time I programmed an android a few months ago.)

I would buy a phone that had RTL / Lefty Mode.

Hope this helps a bit.

Amazing day and good!
