Where can I download the Core Audio SDK for Xcode? (It doesn't seem like an apple developer site)

In accordance with the instructions here: http://developer.apple.com/library/mac/#documentation/MusicAudio/Conceptual/CoreAudioOverview/WhatisCoreAudio/WhatisCoreAudio.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40003577-CH3-SW1

It says: The Core Audio SDK assumes that you will use Xcode as your development environment. You can download the latest SDK from http://developer.apple.com/sdk/ . After installation, the SDK files are located in / Developer / Examples / CoreAudio.

I looked through all the SDKs and searched for Core audio. I can not see anything. Does anyone know where I can find the Core Audio SDK?

The documentation is out of date. The Core Audio SDK is included in the current Xcode 4.2. You need to make a link to it as follows:

and of course include its header file.

Core Audio is the standard framework in /System/Library/Frameworks , so you already have headers and libraries. Additional SDK material is now installed as part of the Xcode 4 installation - you will find it in /Developer/Extras/CoreAudio after installing Xcode 4.

It seems that the CoreAudio SDK has been renamed to Core Audio Utility Classes and can be found there:

The document you were talking about is kind of old (written in 2007), and you find that Apple is not always well versed in the documentation.

The Core Audio SDK is built into the SDK for MacOS and iOS.

At least one of the sample programs listed on the instructions page, PlaySequence, can be downloaded as sample code from the Apple developer website . I'm not sure what happened with the PlayFile.
