How to enable "Detected multiple build versions with a GUID" when converting a project from VS 2008 to VS 2010

I just converted my project from VS 2008 to VS 2010, here is the error I am getting now: -

Multiple build versions with a GUID detected. '' Try to pre-import one of these assemblies.

I already tried to clear decisions, projects and recompile, close and open again. but no luck.

Are your links to the debug folder? If you want to delete them.

EDIT - since you mentioned a COM object in your comment ....

Application for assembling assembly errors - several build versions detected

Looks like a bug in VS 2010 ....

You should try to change .net Framework3.5 to .net Framework4.5.

If you open your Assembly.cs file, there will be a GUID for your application ... for smiles, I just try changing the GUID by creating a new new one (you do not have VS open menu action for generating a GUID, but it is there). Then try recompiling. your project and the final application.

There was the same problem. We noted some links that looked invalid in the Directories folder in Solution Explorer. Right-click and select Delete.

After removal, the thing worked just fine.
