Where can I find a midterm or long term roadmap for python. Thanks to which I can understand what the decision makers care most about and what is the future of this language in their eyes?
I played with Python and Ruby, creating small medium-sized tools that I need in my development, for fun and learning, comparing different but similar languages. Many of the Python and Ruby functions are interchangeable or easily mimicked. Both have imported some functional style and are developing rapidly (Py3000 and Ruby 1.9). I would like to know if these two will be approaching or diverging in the future.
I find material for a ruby ββroadmap, such as Ruby Conference 2010 , but where is the python plan?
Thanks.
