Eclipse freezes during debugging with Evaluation

I missed some good keyword for google to find something useful, so I need to ask here ...

During a debugging session with Eclipse, the thread being checked goes into "Assessment" mode while the variable is being checked. The variable is displayed with its input once, but then it hangs and can only be terminated. The contents of the variables are not displayed another time. An attempt to interrupt the assessment by right-clicking on the stream and selecting "End assessment" results in the message:

"Attempts to stop evaluating can only stop a series of statements. An executable statement (such as a method call) cannot be interrupted."

What's going on here? Can I free and restart the stream in the same position or stop the only option? Is this behavior causing the contents of the variable or is it caused by something else?

Debugger views sometimes execute the toString() method of objects to display the value. When your toString() method has an error (an infinite loop) or calls another buggy method, the debugger may run into problems.
