SAML 2.0 Authentication for iPhone

Team, kindly help me how to implement SAML authentication for the iPhone application. I have a .NET REST based on the JSON webservice as my backend service.

Please advise me this requirement.

Existing standards and tools exist to support your requirement today. As Scott noted, this requires either using the built-in browser in iOS in your application, or allowing the browser of the iOS browser to process part of SAML / Browser SSO (each of them has its pros and cons). You can check out this free White Paper titled, “Standards-Based IdM Architecture for Mobile Applications ,” which talks about how Ping customers (my employer) are addressing this today if you want a few more ideas.

The SAML-only solution has properties that interfere with some due to the risk of phishing of downloaded applications, but the mechanism involved is described in https://wiki.shibboleth.net/confluence/display/SHIB2/ECP

Other approaches include hybrids of OAuth or other technologies, but you will not find any standards or tool support for any of them.
