Windows User Mode Scheduler (UMS) Retired?

I just came up with the following post, which seems to say that the user mode scheduler that was introduced with Windows 7 will (be) retired?

Don McCrady, Microsoft: as you know from reading other forum posts here, the UMS scheduler resigns, and ultimately the choice of UmsThreadDefault will ultimately be used with the Win32 thread scheduler.

Does anyone have more info on this? Why did he retire, was it a mistake or replaced by something else? I did not find any other links to this.
