MSI, Wix and dialog box size value

I noticed that articles, tutorials, and examples of creating custom dialogs on Wix always use the same dialog box size - Width = "370" Height = "270" (in installers), which corresponds to 494px * 360px for 96DPI. Example http://blogs.technet.com/b/alexshev/archive/2008/10/16/from-msi-to-wix-part-20-user-interface-required-dialog-boxes.aspx Moreover, many MSI installers use this exact size for dialogs. I wonder where this value came from? Is there any indication regarding the size of the installer dialog box?

These default values for the MSI dialogs come from the Windows SDK, the uisample.msi file.

This size is close to the standard wizard interface, and the MSI Wizards mimic the Wizard '97 interface. See Master Sample '97 sample , image size 513 Γ— 397 px.

If you have something special, this is most likely due to the size that looked good in the default configuration of Windows 95 or so with a screen resolution of 640x480 pixels. You can actually use other sizes, such as a Visual Studio installation, which is much larger.
