No keyboard input if QLineEdit in a tubeless popup

Question

When the parent widget is defined with:

setWindowFlags(Qt::FramelessWindowHint | Qt::Popup); 

Any widget in the editing window placed on top of it will not receive keyboard input. The mouse will work, right-click, the context menu, paste will work - but not direct keyboard input. Any ideas why and how to fix this?

As I mentioned earlier in the comment, I had the same problem, but now it is fixed with the following code:

 // virtual override void MyDialog::showEvent( QShowEvent* aShowEvent ) { QDialog::showEvent( aShowEvent ); activateWindow(); } 

After I added a call to the activateWindow () function, I could use QLineEdit in my popup dialog box.

I am using Visual Studio 2013 and Qt 5.4.1 for Windows 8.1.

Perhaps try activating the window and / or adjust the focus of the widget ?
