Why Android emulators are numbered as 5554

This may be a question entirely out of the box. I'm just wondering why Android emulators are numbered like 5554, 5556.

Android emulators interact with the Android SDK tools over the network, although this message is limited to the local host. This allows you to install applications, debug, etc. When you start your emulator, it listens on ports 5554 and 5555 for this purpose.

If you run your emulator and the other one is already running, these ports are busy, so the emulator will listen to 5556 and 5557 instead, etc. The first port number is displayed in the title bar of the emulator so you can see which port it is based on.

This is very convenient when you have several emulators at the same time to simulate different versions of Android or different suppliers.
