How to debug Xcode applications in a specific locale (say, in English)?

When I develop a Mac application with a localized interface with Xcode, I try to change the English resources and make them localized / translated only when the rest of the development work is done. Being in a non-English system, when I ask Xcode to run the application, it uses localization in my native language when I want to choose myself (and in most cases I choose English).

So, how can I tell Xcode what language I want the application during debugging sessions?

You are probably looking for an answer for Xcode 4.X, but I hope this helps.

In Xcode 3.2.6, in the "Groups and Files" section of the project window, open the "Executable file" section. Select the executable file that you want to run in English, and execute the command I. Click the "Arguments" tab, and then click "+" at the bottom. Then add:

-AppleLanguages "English"

as an argument.

In the current Xcode, you can set the language of the application that you launch if you edit the circuit and go to the "Run" options.
