IDE for PHP and Python Windows

I used to use netbeans for a while, and I really liked it.

But now I will not expand my toolkit with Python, and Netbeans has refused support for Django, also Python support seems to suck in NB 7.0.

So, I am looking for recommendations on an IDE or text editor for Windows with support:

  • Python (possibly with Django)
  • Php
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • FTP
  • GIT and SVN

I know Aptana 3 can do this, is there anything else?

I don’t know Vim much, but will it be an option?

http://www.jetbrains.com/pycharm/ will be my first choice. JetBrains does a great job of making the editor valuable to you, not just for entering text. The various offerings of JetBrains IDEs are basically the same, even if they are configured for a slightly different set of languages.

Eclipse is an option, it has plugins for everything. Although I have never been a fan of Eclipse. This is a really smooth, but not great IDE compared to some other options.

Well Aptana is built on an eclipse, so you can just use the base eclipse with all the necessary extras.

Obviously you will need Pydev for the python stuff and it will have Django integration.

For some reason, although I really prefer netbeans for my php ide.

Tbh just try a few and see which one you like best.

Eclipse and Visual Studio have plugins for almost everyone. Eclipse is free, I think, for Visual Studio, although you will have to get a professional version to run plugins ...

NetBeans - If you are using 64-bit Windows, do not rush to install updates on 7.0+. 6. * works fine.

You have ftp, and you can configure the download at the start of the project or at every save. You can download the Python plugin by adding this url . This is not the best, but it worked for me.

It is stable and powerful, since eclipses are very inconvenient for me.

Aptana is currently an eclipse for web projects, and the people who create it are also pydev creators, so this will be my second choice.

The Visual Studio VC.Php (Paid) plugin is also powerful because the Visual Studio environment is good, but the plugin is also buggy, and sometimes it seems that it has been updated with the dalay new su file, in general this will be my third choice.
