Lightweight Java Socket Library

I used Mina and Netty, but now I am in the market for a lightweight library that can also be used on Android. I prefer Nio or AsyncIo over standard io implementations.

Update 1

The lack of answers really makes me think that I should write my own library. I am using raw NIO right now and it is not very fun.

Since this seems dead upon arrival, I will answer it by saying that my IO user library will be better.

To answer your question, not one size fits the entire asynchronous library. Netty and Mina may be closest to such a substance, but most projects may still contain some clean NIO / ASYNCIO solutions.

I affirm that you are on the right track. The more experience you have with low-level NIO / ASYNCIO, the more you will appreciate it and be able to get the most out of Netty with a low level of service.

You can try to use some parts from Jetty as suggested in this letter. I really like Jetty because it is small, standalone, and you can use some or all of them flexibly.
