Just as you do this on any Android phone, remember that the emulator will always behave like a normal device, so I leave you a screenshot to help you:

Then you just set your email address and password.

Update It seems that you get "Unable to open connection to server." Please do the following:

  • Check if you can view your emulator.
  • If the above is correct, then try: email username@gmail.com Password: ****** And then you will see the configuration in which you can change the server to change it to Server: m.google.com

first add an account through accounts and sync. Then just configure the default email client in the emulator.

Emulator images do not contain gmail and market applications (and I think some others). This is a common problem.

I think that you can get several APKs and install them, but from what I know is not legal - the Google license does not allow running this software on an emulator. Therefore, although this may work, it may be illegal for you.

You can configure gmail a / c in the emulator, as you configure on the device through the settings → Accout and Sync ....

You can configure Gmail in the emulator. Please go to the emulator via email and just enter your username and password and set up your account.
