Is there a natural voice TTS engine?

I was looking for decent text software and could not find a single natural voice. I hate listening to Microsoft's robotic voices, and although Anna does it with Windows 7 (and probably Vista), she is still far from natural.

What I need:

A free text to the library

Preferred Language: C #, Java

I plan to create decent TTS software, or better yet, the MS Word / Office plugin if everything goes smoothly. I am working on Windows 7 (obviously).

While I cannot guarantee that the voices will sound good, FreeTTS http://freetts.sourceforge.net/docs/index.php is completely written in the Java programming language. For very small languages (for example, an example of a talking clock), this sounds good.

If you are interested or can use JNI, you can use eSpeak http://sourceforge.net/projects/espeak/ , which can connect to Microsoft SAPI and provide (?) Access to Anna's voice.

I personally used Quadmore Java for Microsoft SAPI Bridge http://www.quadmore.com/JAVA_to_SAPI/ , but I did my work on XP, not Windows 7, so I don’t know if this will work.

Good luck
