Svn: URL <foo> of existing dierctory <foo> does not match expected URL <foo>

Well, I saw this and still do not know how to solve without deleting my current folder and not becoming new. but there must be a better solution. Here is my exact mistake:

svn: URL 'http://moray.aniworld.local:8080/svn/Devon/trunk/IncurredCost' of exis ting directory 'trunk\IncurredCost' does not match expected URL 'http://moray.an iworld.local:8080/svn/devon/trunk/IncurredCost'

Please note that there are no duplicate directory names in my repository. How can I fix this so that I can just do the โ€œsvn updateโ€ at the top level and is it annoying the fodler update correctly?

Edit: this is the situation, I have repo foo, with trunk, and then with subfolders d1, d2, d3 and d4. D1 has a lot of binaries that I donโ€™t want to delete and receive again (via http and VPN, it is slow). because the files are already in sync. I just want to tell svn that everything is fine, there is no need everything is fine.

You actually have the same problem as here , which makes this question a duplicate (and for this reason it will probably be closed soon). The problem is that you have two folders with the same name in SVN, but which have different cases. For example: trunk\IncurredCost and trunk\IncurredCost

Daniel, John Paul, may have been right. If in any place of the way there is another spelling. In other words; If there is a โ€œPathโ€ and a โ€œPathโ€ anywhere in the path, you may have a problem for this reason.

This is actually not a problem with subversion, but Windows. I have had this question in the past. In my case, the SVN server runs on Linux. Some developers work on Windows, and some on Macs. Once a Mac developer created a file called File and successfully transferred it to SVN. The problem was that the repo already had a file called "file", but from the point of view of SVN and from the point of view of Linux, this is absolutely normal. This is also normal from a Mac perspective. However, Windows does not know what to do when it sees "file" and "file."
