Mysql tuning / performance for windows

We are using mysql version 5.0.27 for a desktop application in a Windows environment. We need a tool (hopefully free) that runs on Windows and that can track mysql and queries so that we can hope to fix some of the slow queries that we have and tune its performance.

What would you suggest? things that I found on the Internet, where scripts / perl, etc. that do not fit our needs.

This question is shouting out MySQL Query Proxy . This is a simple program that can monitor and analyze the connection between the client and server.

It is available for different operating systems, one of which is Windows. It is in the early stages of development, but should be used for this purpose.
