How to fake inline application switching animation?

Question

I have two views in my application and I want to switch their foreground or background using animation. I like the way iOS does this when I quickly switch between applications (double-click the home button and tap any application).

Can I use this animation directly? (This is normal, if it is private, I do not sell my application, just for the purpose of training.)

If not, is there a way to implement this animation myself? Links or examples are greatly appreciated!
