Error in this game not recognized by Game Center

I'm struggling to get through the first phase of Game Center integration. I'm so far away:

I created a new, clean application, added GameKit headers and the authenticateWithCompletionHandler: base method in the application delegate.

Running the application in the simulator brings up a login dialog.

If I create a new account using the login dialog box, this user receives authentication and the application loads successfully.

If I try to log in with this account for the second time, OR use the account that I created using the Game Center application, the logon is rejected with the error "this game is not recognized by the Game Center."

Resetting the simulator and reinstalling it with Xcode are not affected. The app is configured for Game Center through iTunes Connect, and all package IDs are correct.

Can anyone suggest where I am not here?

This post explains it pretty well (skip the Cocos2D part at the top): http://www.cocos2d-iphone.org/forum/topic/20998 You can see all the necessary steps. And if it still does not work, then on the bottom line: wait 24 hours after creating the application (days off are not counted).

So, having worked a bit with this, I created a completely new iTunes Connect and Xcode application, as well as a new set of user accounts. This does not suffer from the same problems, of which I assume that there was some kind of problem with the package identifier and / or things messed up with the inadvertent use of live accounts.

Thanks for the help though!

Verify that iTunes is turned on in iTunes. Also check the correct package identifier that you specified in the project

You need to create a test account through itunesconnect. Audit accounts are marked and work with the GameCenter sandbox server.
