How do I track users and settings in the Chrome Web Store?

I developed a Chrome extension called TabCarousel to track information like our NewRelic charts. After other people may find this useful, I decided to open the source code and then release it in the Chrome Web Store .

I'm really impressed with how easy it is to release the code in the online store, but ... even a couple of days after the extension was released, I still show "users" and "weekly installs", and not something like , "7 Users" and "10 Weekly Installs." I know that I installed the extension on several computers, and I helped others set it up. Several friends also installed it.

Why doesn't the Chrome Web Store show any users or installations? It does not show any data at all, that is, "users" instead of "0 users".

Did I miss something? I read the FAQ , some blog posts, and even created a Google Analytics account and entered it in the Developer Dashboard entry for my extension. I just want to get an idea of how many downloads I get in order to estimate the percentage as I can in other projects .

This is actually a mistake, and the team is in the process of preparing the fix and getting it live. I don't have an exact ETA, but it should be pretty soon.

Alternatively, you can use your Google Analytics accounts to determine traffic to your landing page and in your application. And if you are looking for the head referrer: // newtab, you will get a very good sign of all the users running your application.

Just give it a few days, they too often do not update counters in WebStore. Currently, it does not show users any extension sent after June 15, and your letter was sent on June 19.
