Hide text from printing but save space

We have our own server that brings php entries from mysql.

We have a Dot dot matrix printer that we use to print on paper with less carbon (2 copies: one for official records, one for the client and one for the gatekeeper).

We tried to print the contents of the display: none, but he removed this space from this div.

Then we tried to print it with a white color font without displaying: none (we realized that the printhead reads everything), so it printed characters on the 2nd and 3rd copies.

So, we want to know how to hide the text at the same time, keeping this gap.

Tell us how to do the same with the border?

visibility: hidden; makes it invisible, but leaves space.

you can save the div with the text in one div with height and width and give the display:none style a div property with the text. this way the space will remain
