I have an i5-560m dell laptop with windows 7 (x64) on board with an 8gb 1333 ddr bar. I started the installation of a professional VS 2010 with the full version ... something like 12 hours ago ... and it is still on the 4th component in the installation list. It does something because after an hour ... the progress indicator moves ... but there are problems with the update in this shitty installation window, so I canโt switch it to visible using the alt + tab or click on it ... just minimizing everything brings it to my eyes. But this is not the main problem. The most confusing aspect is the process itself! It already consumes 3.9 GB of RAM with a processor load of 22% ... and acts very slowly when the whole system responds very quickly, even if more than 5 GB of RAM is consumed now.
My question is: is there any magic I have to do before I run this installer (which is marked as a 32-bit process in the task manager - why?). Respectfully, I killed almost all redundant processes after 8 hours, because I thought that other things were blocking him ... but they didnโt help at all. How long will it take? Can it somehow accelerate?
