How to make editing EditText in full screen?

I don’t have to do a full-screen job, but my problem is that the EditText is under the soft keyboard and I cannot figure out how to make it all appear above it. This is a note field and fills all the open space that is at the end of my other fields, at the bottom of the screen. Currently, when I select a note, the screen moves up enough to see the top of the note field, but that's not enough. I want the top of the note field to move at the top of the screen to maximize what the user sees when they edit the field.

My softInputMode in the manifest is configurable, but changing these settings did nothing for me.

You need to add a ScrollView around the view so that it shifts and changes the adjustPan parameter to configure Resize (usually not recommended) to allow activity in the manifest.
