Vim often needs redraw after sharing

after months of setting up my vimrc file and installing plugins, I have this small error that is very painful:

When I close a split (it looks like it only appears on verticals), the remaining buffer often needs to be redrawn because the text is complete (lines have disappeared, text has remained from the closed buffer, etc.)

This can be easily fixed by pressing CTRL-L, but it is very annoying to press CTRL-L every time I open and close my nerdtree explorer.

Has anyone encountered the same / similar problems and / or knew a solution? I could not burn this behavior to one line in my vimrc or a separate plugin ...

Thanks in advance!

I had a similar problem in the past.

I used guioptions-=r and guioptions-=l , which remove the ant left and right scrollbars, this works just fine, but there are two more separation options: guioptions-=l and guioptions-=r .

They also remove scrollbars from split views. If you only set lr , but not lr , vim will always add the left (or right) scrollbar when using NERDTree and other sections, and this will make vim display the bolted text ...

Hope this helps!

Try playing with syntax coloring disabled. Do it:

 :syn off

If he tries to adjust the syntax coloring setting. You can customize the way Vim tries to colorize the text.
