What is the difference between developer.paypal.com and x.com?

I thought I had a PayPal developer account (still successfully registered at https://developer.paypal.com ), but when I click on the PayPal Developer Network on this page (to ask a question specific to the PayPal API), I again offered to log in. This time my account and password for the developer.paypal.com account just won't work.

Should I create another account there? If so, will it be associated with the .paypal.com developer (just like the accounts in SO / SE are connected)?

If I explain my confusion even more: I have a β€œregular” PayPal account (for online purchases), I have an account (for online payments), I have a developer account (for testing the integration of the shopping cart with paypal). How many accounts do I need at PayPal? When I create an x.com account, will it conflict with my existing accounts?

Thanks.

EDIT . Even more confusing is the question on the x.com login page:

Already have a PayPal account?

Well, of course, I have a PayPal account. Actually, I have them 3. Do I need to create another one just to post a question to the developer forum?

No, you do not need to create another account. To enter the PayPal Developer Network , you can use your personal or business PayPal account, but (ironically) not a "developer account."

The site https://developer.paypal.com is intended only for the sandbox . The site https://www.x.com/ is a real network of PayPal developers (tools, APIs, forums, support, etc.).

Pay attention to the announcement on the sandbox homepage:

PayPal Developer Central goes to x.com
