Will your iphone application appear immediately. If you set the availability date

Question

We plan to combine a large version of the server with the release of the iPhone-application. The application has been submitted and approved and has the availability set for the "go live" date.

How does this date relate to when it appears in the app store? (immediately at 00:00 ?, ever in a 24-hour period?)

If the application is available worldwide, does the application appear in all time zones at the same time? If so, what time zone is used?

I remember when Tapbots recently released Tweetbot that they used to tweet something like “Tweetbot is now available in Japan,” and then a few hours later “Tweetbot appeared on the App Store in Europe and again a few hours later,” Tweetbot is finally available in USA".

So, it seems that the apps are released at midnight in their respective local time zone.
