Android trading account

I want to set up a Google trading account in the Android market to sell my applications. I am Indian, and in the country dropdown India is not available. How can I create my trading account and can I use another account, such as paypal, to sell applications?

Thanks.

If your country is not included in the list of countries entitled to create a trading account, you cannot publish paid applications, unfortunately. You will need to find various ways to monetize your application, which may be one of the following:

  • As mentioned above, get a PayPal account and ask users for donations
  • Subscribe to the site to display ads ( AdMob seems to be a popular choice) and place a banner in your application.
  • Implementing in-app purchases in your own way, regardless of in-app purchases in the Android Market.

@jubin, although it is more than a year when you asked this question, but now India is on the list of countries where Android developers can create a trading account m, happy for him .. :-). check here

EDIT: It was a Google bug, they put India on the list for a short time and then deleted again, now India is not on the list .. :(

Edit: This time I am happy to change my answer ... :) Good news → Indian Android developers can set up a seller account on the Google Play developer account .. :) check here

That, as I understand it, I am. If it is not listed, you cannot join. I found myself in such a situation. You can sell your apps using Paypal, but not on the official Google site. On your own site or on third-party sites that accept you.

Wikipedia has a table where you can see which countries sell apps. As mentioned earlier, to “sell” apps, you could accept PayPal donations, show ads, or sell the app in markets independent of Google.

From India you still cannot open a trading account. And according to Google TOS, in short, it’s against the rules to make money on the Android Market in such a way that this money does not go through Google (therefore, they get a reduction). But it looks like they put up with it.
