Visual Studio 2008 Floating Windows are External

Question

My block of floating windows in Visual Studio 2008 (output, error list, search for results, etc.) disappears. I suppose that

I could not find the key combination for the parameters (the equivalent of the Alt-Space floating window for real windows). How can I get my floating windows back?

Choose Window> Reset Window Layout and accept whether you want ...? invitation.

The price you pay is a rejection of the old window layout (including docked windows).
The advantage you get is ... your floating windows. And it is useful.
