Why can't I add my DLL to the GAC in Windows 7?

I changed my OS to Windows 7 from Windows xp. I am trying to put a DLL in the Windows 7 build folder, but I cannot do this. I get an "Access Denied" error.

Please let me know how to drag a DLL into a Windows 7 build.

Have you tried running Windows Explorer as an administrator?

Even if your user account has administrator rights, you still need this height for such tasks.

If this does not work, I suggest you use gacutil.exe. You also need to open the command line as an administrator:

• gacutil/i "assembly_path". gacutil/? , .
