Facebook Photo Zoom: How was it done?

Facebook photo zoom is one of the best utilities I've ever come across when viewing a huge number of photos. My question is how it was built, and if there is already a free javascript application written that simulates its functionality.

In my initial search, several links appeared about how this was a useful extension, but nothing of the detailed description of the underlying JavaScript. A similar program can be found in FFixer .

If you look at the URLs of FB images, they are more predictable. Mini units end with _q, then it gets bigger with _n, etc. Etc.

You can make the effect however you want, but in essence it just detects that the FB page, and then when you hover the image with a certain class, the image will become larger and replace _q at the end of the image with _n or something else ...

After that, you can use various methods to represent the image.
