Why is my swing GUI different in design than at runtime?

When I draw my GUI using swing, the Swing control buttons are gray and the text is easy for them. However, when I run the program, the buttons turn partially blue and the text is no longer suitable for them. Why does my program look different in Swing design than at runtime?
