User Alignment Guidelines

Question

I am looking for, preferably an open source, user-leveling / ranking system. By this I mean that, like the achievements of Xbox Live, users can complete a specific task, earn rewards for points, and then complete levels.

EDIT: An even better example is THIS website (this is an open, open source user)!
