Appcelerator titanium -TableViewRow selectedBackgroundColor removes rounded corners

How do you rewrite the default style for iPhone UI to select a row as a table? For iPhone, it is blue by default and can be changed using TableViewCellSelectionStyle, but it is limited to three options. An alternative is to use selectedBackgroundColorin which I can choose any color , BUT gives rounded corners in the first and last rows of the table, which I don't want.

Currently, my workarounds are either adding extra dummy lines at the top and bottom, or increasing the width of the table to 340 to hide details from the screen. Is there a method that just removes rounded corners?
