Amazon ElasticBeanstalk vs Cloudfoundry vs other cloud hosting services

I am considering hosting my Grails webapp. Being just a new website, I don’t expect that a lot of traffic will start, but I would like to be able to expand my capabilities without getting through hoops, without disrupting the bank.

I reflected on Cloudfoundry and Amazon ElasticBeanstalk. Can someone point out the pros and cons of these services, as well as point me to other services that may be there.

It actually looks like a VPS, but a cloud where you can go and manage your resources on the fly, so if you are looking for a SaaS solution, this will not be the way to go.

I tried Amazons Elastic BeanStalk, but found that learning all of their terminology and determining the best strategies and services to use was simply difficult for my small application.
