HOWTO: encode WebM using VLC command line?

Question

I found 1 command line that claims to be a transcoding job. but for some reason there is something a little wrong, it just sends ASCII art through the terminal, can someone kindly tell me how to make a transcode through the CLI and quietly?

cvlc aVeryNiceMovie.avi -–sout "#transcode{vcodec=VP80,vb=800,scale=1,acodec=vorbis,ab=128,channels=2}:std{access=file,mux='ffmpeg{mux=webm}',dst=aVeryNiceMoive.webm}"
