What are the best guides or resources for creating CSS / DIV layouts?

We found several online, but they are all a bit out of date.

Curiously, what do people consider to be the best resources for creating and managing CSS / DIV layouts (i.e. layouts made exclusively in CSS with DIVs - without tables)?

Thank!

I'm a big fan of http://compass-style.org/ It not only simplifies the creation of layouts, but also changes the way CSS is programmed.

These are homepages for some modern browsers. View the source, there is a lot to find out.

I think this is partly because IE is holding back float support to 8 and 9. Any discussion of layouts quickly falls into muddy, complicated discussions of IE about various errors.

Hopefully the situation improves as IE versions become obsolete. Until then, although I didn’t read it myself, I think Dan Bulderproof Web Design by Dan Cederholm has a couple of good layout chapters.
