What are ADO.NET and WCF? Is ADO.NET deprecated with WCF or part of WCF?

ADO.NET and WCF serve for different purposes. ADO.NET makes it easy to connect to a database, while WCF allows you to communicate over a pipe (thereby potentially replacing web services).
