Mod_rewrite on Amazon S3

Can mod_rewrite be used on Amazon S3?

www.example.com/about.html -> mybucket.s3.amazon.com/index.html
www.example.com/welcome.html -> mybucket.s3.amazon.com/index.html
www.example.com/contact.html -> mybucket.s3.amazon.com/index.html

Thank!

In this case, you can use the Error Document.

Solving the document with an error works on the surface, but if you check the actual title of the response status, you will see that the page returns as 404. This is obviously not very good.

I'm still looking for alternatives, now I think I will resort to using hashbangs.
