Does the admob still make requests when the application is closed or in the background?

Question

If my application is running and I press the home or back buttons, my application will still continue to make ad requests as if they were running. I see this in logcat.

All of the above after closing my application using the home button. It does the same if I use the back button. Why is he doing this? It even does if I set the declaration to null in the onPause () field. How can I stop him?
