Scrolling to lightbox on iPhone / iPad

I developed a website that displays full web pages in a lightbox when you click on certain images - the pages relate to images. The pages are inside the IFRAME, which is inside the lightbox div content.

The problem is this: when the page inside the lightbox is longer than the height of the lightbox, and the site is viewed on the iPhone / iPad, it seems there is no way to scroll the inside page - scrolling gestures scrolls the outermost ones (the one that overlays the lightbox). There are no scrollbars in Mobile Safari, depending on the gestures to scroll, so the IFRAME's internal / overlapped lightbox seems unverifiable.

Are there any solutions? Do I need special browsers for mobile devices and open a new browser window or go completely to the IFRAME'd page instead of using a lightbox?

This is apparently the real flaw of mobile Safari!

(Not quite up-to-date, but possibly useful information - the Drupal site is based, the lightbox is the Lighbox2 module.)

Without addressing the rather serious issue of inconspicuous content on a mobile safari, I would like to mention that you can usually scroll through this content with two scroll / scroll fingers.

As for your case, I would do a mobile browser discovery and present the user with a new browser window.
