Combining Oracle OCI Connections with Oracle UCP

I’m studying various mechanisms for joining Oracle JDBC connections, and as I understand it, Oracle offers 4 pooling mechanisms when using the OCI driver

• Oracle DataSource
• Combining Oracle OCI Connections
• Oracle UCP (Universal Connection Pool - Recommended for OracleDataSource)
• Oracle Database Resource Pooling

Please correct me if I am wrong.

I wanted to know the advantages and disadvantages of using Oracle UCP (Universal Connection Pooling) compared to the Oracle OCI connection pool provided by the OCI driver.
