How to install VS2010 installation

I am installing VS2010 on a VM machine and 1 on a physical PC.

VM Specification: Xeon CPU 3.33 GHZ (Duo Core) Windows 7 64 bit 4 GB Ram

Physical PC: Duo Core processor (speed unknown at this time) Windows 7 64 bit 6 GB Ram

My question is: what is the best way to run some kind of test benchmark with VS2010 to determine which has the best performance?

Comparative analysis in real time is easy to do: take the project you are working on (or any project similar in structure to it), and measure the time of a complete rebuild.
