Requires a suggestion for the vim font and font size for the xp window for programming in C ++

Inconsolata looks awful as there is no smoothing. The new bold courier looks fine, but I'm looking for the best software font. Any suggestions?

Font anti-aliasing (Cleartype) is disabled by default on XP, but you can easily activate it. Here is one of many tutorials you can find on Google.

Naturally, this is a very subjective question. However, I have a strong attachment to Proggy fonts . In particular, the Proggy area with a zero nose. This font allows you to use many compact lines on the screen, which is never bad.
