Does x64 require a mono x64 class library?

Question

I compiled x64 mono (version 2.11 ) on Windows.

I noticed that every program using the class library (System.Net, System.IO, ...) systematically crashes. I downloaded the latest version of the class library , it works fine on x86, but not on x64.

Is x64 mono x64 class library required?

The x64 compatibility issue in Windows prevented us from using mono for many projects. We decided to try, I hope this time everything will be fine.
