NSLog output for applications running without Xcode?

I am distributing my first Mac OS X application to beta testers and I have a dumb question, but I am having trouble finding an answer:

"Where is the output of NSLog calls after your application is packaged in a .app package?"

Basically, stdout / stderr go to the console log visible with Console.app.
