Drupal Views - Custom / Modded SQL

Question

I have a problem with the Check Checkers module, which stores separate profile fields, separated by commas.

The problem is that I am creating a view to filter by value. The SQL result ends with the following:

...AND (profile_values_profile_interests.value in ('Business and Investment'))...

That will not return any data, since the value is stored as follows:

"Business and investment, business law, labor law, tax law"

I just need to configure SQL to make sure the field contains the selected value

Is there anything I can do to customize this?
