Why doesn't the WCF client get a SOAP error as a Fault exception?

Question

I am using a WCF client to use a web service not using WCF SOAP 1.2. When I receive a SOAP error, as shown below, I get a ProtocolException instead of a FaultException. There are no problems with link binding, and the request is successfully processed. But I cannot access the error error in my WCF client. Any ideas?
