IPhone: how to download media files and save them to your device

I am new to the world of iOs and I need help implementing a small feature in my application.

My question is: how to download multimedia files (i.e. mp4) and save them on the device for future use? Of course, the place where the files will be saved should be accessible only from my application (something similar to Context.getCacheDir () in Android).
