Facebook graph api & php sdk, delete events!

Question

Throughout my life I cannot find a way to delete, cancel or delete facebook events that I created and updated using the FB PHP SDK and Graph API.

I tried every permutation found in facebook documentation and stack overflow ...

Here are some of the clues I found in my quest.
